| UkSATSE and EUROCONTROL have signed an agreement on emergency coordination and action procedures |
 On November 29, 2018, in Brussels, Dmytro Babeichuk, Director of UkSATSE, and Joe Sultana, Director Network Manager, EUROCONTROL in the presence of Eamonn Brennan, Director General of EUROCONTROL, and Oleksandr Bilchuk, Chairman of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine, signed an agreement between the Ukrainian Airspace Management Division of UkSATSE and EUROCONTROL On Emergency Coordination and Action Procedures in the area of provision of Flexible Use of Airspace.
"The agreement has been developed in coordination with EUROCONTROL according to the relevant UkSATSE plans. Signing of this document has been accelerated by the current situation in the country. The agreement will enable further implementation and harmonization of flexible use of Ukrainian airspace, the establishment of coordination arrangements, technical cooperation, information exchange and organization of joint operations in an emergency situation between the EUROCONTROL Network Manager and UkSATSE on the issues of management of Ukrainian airspace as part of the pan-European airspace ", - Major General Oleksandr Volkov, Deputy Director - Head of UKRAEROCENTER.
The agreement formally approves the agreed coordination processes in the implementation of airspace management in case of failure of technical means of communication, other emergency situations and also provides the opportunity for further development and automation of the processes of communication between the EUROCONTROL Network Manager and UkSATSE Airspace Management Unit. |
