EASA certified Ukraine
Today, on December 17, 2018 at the headquarters of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in Cologne (Germany), the EASA Flight Standards Director, Jasper Rasmussen, in the presence of the EASA Executive Director, Patrick Ky, serviced the UkSATSE Director, Dmytro Babeichuk a Certificate of Compliance of Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise, as the national provider of air navigation services, to the EU and EASA rules and procedures.

"I congratulate the entire UkSATSE team, which has successfully demonstrated the conformity of its management systems, procedures and technical support to European requirements. Today we can say with confidence that our certificate has only confirmed the reliability, efficiency and responsibility of the Ukrainian partner," - said Jesper Rasmussen, EASA Flight Standards Director.

The EASA Certificate verifies that UkSATSE complies with EU norms and is the basis for obtaining authorisation from the Slovak side to provide air traffic services in the part of the airspace of Slovakia, which is necessary for manoeuvring aircraft performing operations at Uzhhorod airfield under the Instrument Flight Rules. Restoration of the full-fledged operation of Uzhhorod airport is of priority for the leadership of the State, for the Ministry of Infrastructure and for the Director of UkSATSE, Dmytro Babeichuk, who, as the process curator, made the greatest efforts to obtain the desired result.

"For the first time in history we ventured upon such an unprecedented step as certification of an air navigation service provider of a country that is not a member of the European Union for the compliance with the EU requirements. I am convinced that today's event is yet another proof of recognition by the European community of the role of our company in the aviation industry. We are grateful for the excellent support, trust and assistance to Ukraine's leadership and representatives of EASA, Eurocontrol, the European Commission, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine and the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration in implementing such an achievement", - said Dmytro Babeichuk.

UkSATSE have successfully passed the EASA audit, which included 18 EU regulations presented under the certification process. The high level of preparation of the Enterprise to the certification and the openness to the objective audit have been noted by the experts of the European Aviation Safety Agency, who came to Ukraine in November this year. They have also confirmed the reliability, efficiency and responsibility of UkSATSE as an international partner.

"I would like to express my special gratitude to my team, which consolidated and strained after confirmation of the compliance of UkSATSE services with EU requirements to air traffic services in the part of the airspace of the European Union, in particular on the territory of Slovakia. We did our best!", - said UkSATSE director, Dmytro Babeichuk.

As a reminder, on July 10, 2018 in the city of Strasbourg (France) during the 36th plenary session of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) management of UkSATSE and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) signed a contract for the certification of UkSATSE as a national provider of air navigation services in accordance with the rules of the European Union.
