Director of UkSATSE Andrii YARMAK held working meetings with the management of Swedish LVF and Danish Naviair air navigation service providers |
Andrii Yarmak, Director of UkSATSE, as part of his visit to the Scandinavian partners: air navigation service providers LFV (Sweden) and Naviair (Denmark), Entry Point North, a company specialising in the professional training of air traffic controllers, and SAAB, a manufacturer of aeronautical equipment, discussed the continuation of the European ATM Voluntary Solidarity Fund for 2025, resumption of flights in Ukrainian airspace and training of Ukrainian air traffic controllers.
As a result of the visit, a plan for further cooperation was agreed on issues related to support for the replenishment of the Fund in 2025, development of Ukrainian initiatives for the reopening of Ukrainian airspace and specifics of the restoration of air navigation infrastructure.
During the negotiations with SAAB, the parties addressed the air navigation infrastructure recovery and searched for ways to secure Swedish state support for the rehabilitation of critical civil infrastructure in Ukraine.
The visit also included air traffic control centres in Stockholm and Copenhagen, as well as advanced remote tower control centres for Swedish airports which represent the most cutting-edge technology among European providers.
A working meeting was also held with the management of Entry Point North at their modern training centre in Malm? where the conditions for continuing the training of Ukrainian air traffic controllers until the end of this year were agreed.
For their part, colleagues from Sweden and Denmark expressed their unequivocal support for Ukraine and pledged their further cooperation in maintaining the European ATM Voluntary Solidarity Fund for 2025, as well as their support for other Ukrainian initiatives to reopen Ukrainian airspace and restore air navigation infrastructure. |
