Kharkiv RB celebrates the 21st anniversary of foundation
On May 4, 2014, Kharkiv Regional Branch of UkSATSE celebrates the 21st anniversary of foundation. Its area of responsibility comprises 5 airports of the Eastern Ukraine. Kharkiv RB shares border with the Russian Federation, which brings about the necessity to monitor the entry of aircraft into the Ukrainian airspace and interaction with air defence bodies when the state border is crossed. Air Traffic Management in the area of responsibility of Kharkiv RB meets all EUROCONTROL requirements.

Ukraine enters into new Letters of Agreement on air traffic services co-operation with the States of the Black Sea Region
Ukraine and the States of the Black Sea Region concluded new Letters of Agreement (LoA) regarding co-ordination procedures to be used between the Area Control Centres when providing air traffic services. According to the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention) and ICAO international standards and procedures these LoAs shall be made between ATS units of all adjacent States and provide legal basis for the co-operation between the Air Navigation Service Providers. Such close co-ordination is the demand of the international aviation community, as far as it is necessary for ensuring the proper level of air traffic safety.

ICAO confirms exclusive right of Ukraine to provide air navigation services over the Black Sea
The right to provide air navigation services in international airspace over the Black Sea within Simferopol flight information region belongs exclusively to Ukraine. Russia has no legal grounds to seize this airspace and interfere with the work of air traffic services in Ukraine. This position of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has once again been confirmed during negotiations between representatives of Ukraine and Russian Federation on the issue of safety in the airspace over the Crimea and the open seas, which is under the jurisdiction of Ukraine. The first round of negotiations took place on April 8, 2014 in the European and North Atlantic Office of ICAO in Paris.

Ukrainian airspace and international airspace over the high seas is under safe control of Ukrainian air traffic controllers
The Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise (UkSATSE) continues providing the safety in the Ukrainian airspace and in the international airspace over the high seas, where the responsibility for the provision of Air Traffic Service (ATS) is delegated to Ukraine by international treaties. State-of-the-art technical equipment, multi-branch network of air navigation facilities and extended infrastructure as well as the European level of qualification pertaining to the UkSATSE specialists enables to respond flexibly to any ATM circumstances, in particular due to the substitutability of ATS centres. The mission of UkSATSE is the provision of the Ukrainian airspace users with safe and cost-effective Air Navigation Services, which determines the main tasks of the Enterprise (see relevant sections of our web-site for detailed information). Issues concerning airports operation, passenger and cargo transportations, performance of flights by airlines (for example, flight cancellations, postponements or delays at the Ukrainian airports) are beyond the competence of UkSATSE. The safety remains our top priority.

The 21st anniversary of foundation of Lviv RB
On March 1, 2014, the 1st year of a new decade in the history of Lviv RB of UkSATSE comes to an end. Its main achievement is the adequate level of air traffic service. Among all other area control centres, Lviv ACC borders with the largest number of countries coordinated with in the process of air traffic service.

Today is the 21st anniversary of foundation of Donetsk Regional Branch of UkSATSE which area of responsibility comprises 8 airports of the Eastern Ukraine and the state border shared with the Russian Federation.

The 21st anniversary from the day of foundation of “Kyivcentraero” RB of UkSATSE
February 16 is the 21st anniversary from the day of foundation of “Kyivcentraero” Regional Branch the area of responsibility of which covers the main aerodrome of Ukraine “Boryspil” and aerodrome “Kyiv” (Zhuliany) with quite high density of flights. In most cases “Kyivcentraero” RB becomes first among UkSATSE RBs where the implementation of enterprise major projects, aimed at the increase of the quality of air navigation service and safety of flights in Ukrainian airspace starts.

Today is the 21st anniversary from the day of foundation of “Krymaerorukh” Regional Branch, the area of responsibility of which covers the largest area in Ukraine - 209,504 square km and the airspace over the Southern Ukraine and the major part of the water area of the Black Sea.

The 21st anniversary of foundation of Dnipropetrovsk RB of UkSATSE
On February 9 Dnipropetrovsk Regional Branch is celebrating its 21st Birthday. By its level of development it is hardly can be compared with one it used to be in 1993. The new air traffic control center was opened in 2007. The high level of air traffic service and flight safety in the eastern part of airspace of Ukraine are ensured with modern equipment, contemporary ATM centers, professional training of specialists, work methods and facilities. These are substantial achievements not only for Dnipropetrovsk RB but for the enterprise in general as well.
