Experts of UkSATSE took part in development of the concept of operations for implementation of the NATO Regional Airspace Security Program in Ukraine
«We would welcome the launch of NATO Airspace and Sea Monitoring Mission. We would appreciate establishing regular information exchange with NATO to ensure better joint situational awareness in the Black Sea and in the whole region. It is important that Ukraine is going to participate in the Regional Airspace Security Programme (RASP).»
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, December 13, 2018

A delegation of UkSATSE experts participated in the development of a concept of operations for implementation of the NATO Regional Airspace Security Program (RASP) during a two-day workshop on January 29-30, 2019 with the participation of representatives from six member-countries in the NATO Representation to Ukraine in Kyiv.

Ukraine was represented by experts from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Aviation Service of Ukraine and UkSATSE. The delegation of representatives of the Enterprise was headed by the director of UkSATSE Dmytro Babeichuk.

“Our participation in the development of this concept allows us to testify the consistency and thoroughness of cooperation with the North Atlantic alliance and the high professional level of each party in their approaches in implementation of the NATO program RASP - the flagship project of Ukraine-NATO cooperation in the context of airspace security. The document developed together with partners will be the basis for the further formation of a clear plan of actions for the implementation of the RASP program. This is very important for improving coordination level of airspace use and air traffic safety, in particular in the context of timely response to potential threats to civil aviation. And it is also another step of Ukraine towards joining NATO.” said the director of UkSATSE Dmytro Babeichuk.

As it is known, Ukraine, in the area of ensuring safety of air traffic management, is involved in implementation of the NATO RASP program which includes, inter alia, the exchange of information on air situation, coordination of activities of neighboring countries in timely response and countering threats to General air traffic.
