Government approves Financial Plan of UkSATSE for 2024 |
On 5 December 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the 2024 Financial Plan of UkSATSE.
The main objectives of UkSATSE activity in 2024 are:
-to keep the Ukrainian air navigation system infrastructure alive and functional;
-to retain and support highly qualified personnel and ensure the operation of UkSATSE units as the main component of the Joint Civil-Military Air Traffic Management System of Ukraine (JCMS) in the interests of defence and security of the State.
As the Ukrainian airspace is currently closed to civil flights, there is no income from the operating activities of UkSATSE. Critical expenses are financed exclusively by the European ATM Voluntary Solidarity Fund established in 2022 on the basis of the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) and replenished by the EUROCONTROL Member States.
In 2024, all UkSATSE efforts will remain focused on creating conditions for the gradual resumption of civil aircraft operations in the Ukrainian airspace after the war.
We will continue to work with potential donors, international aviation organisations, international development organisations, governments, air navigation service providers, equipment manufacturers, etc. to raise funding and assistance for the restoration of damaged infrastructure.
Significant resources will also be allocated to professional training and skills maintenance of key UkSATSE personnel.
We sincerely hope to welcome our long-awaited guests to our peaceful sky in the near future after the victory of Ukraine!
