| UkSATSE performs flight inspection of radio navigation aids and airfield lighting equipment for Odesa airport |
Flight inspection aircraft Beechcraft King Air B300 of UkSATSE Flight Calibration Service carries out flight inspection of instrument landing systems (ILS), non-directional radio beacons (NDB) and airfield lighting systems (ALS) for Odesa International Airport.
Flight inspection services are performed under the contract between UkSATSE and Odesa airport. The total inspection time, which will last from 02 till 04July, will be 16 flight hours.
Thus, UkSATSE ensures air traffic safety in the Ukrainian sky not only by the primary mission of providing air navigation services but also by performing regular flight inspections of radio navigation and lighting equipment. Such flights are an obligatory stage in monitoring the technical condition of existing equipment and certifying new equipment, which ensures the operation of any airport.
UkSATSE Flight Calibration Service increases the volume of provided services for airports and other aviation enterprises on a contractual basis that is the result of effective management of non-core assets of the air navigation service provider and an additional source of income for the state enterprise, which is extremely important for improving its financial situation particularly in the crisis period.

UkSATSE Flight Calibration Service has been a structural unit of UkSATSE since 1996. UkSATSE's fleet consists of two Beechcraft B-300 (Super King Air 350) - twin-engine turboprop aircraft, which have optimal aerodynamic and operational flight characteristics for flight inspections and are equipped with modern automatic flight inspection systems (AFIS) produced by German company Aerodata AG.
