French Delegation Visits Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise to Discuss Cooperation and Support for Reconstruction
Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UKSATSE) had the honor of welcoming a high-level French delegation led by Mr. Pierre Heilbronn, Special Envoy for the Reconstruction of Ukraine and Special Representative of the Office of President Emmanuel Macron.

During the meeting, Director of UkSATSE Andrii YARMAK presented comprehensive overview of the current status and strategic plans for restoring and reopening Ukrainian airspace and air navigation services.

Key areas of discussion included:

- preparations for the reopening of Ukrainian airspace for civil aviation;
- the training program for maintaining the competence of air traffic controllers;
- prospects for bilateral cooperation in aviation and ATM infrastructure recovery.

Special attention was given to France’s unwavering and ongoing support to Ukraine in the context of European and international solidarity. The vital role of the European ATM Solidarity Fund under the umbrella of EUROCONTROL was emphasized.
This remains the primary financial mechanism sustaining current operations.

The dialogue also included a focused update on cooperation with Thales, particularly the radar modernization project financed by the Government of France, which marks a significant step towards strengthening Ukraine’s air navigation infrastructure.

Furthermore, UKSATSE presented its Infrastructure Recovery Program, expressing readiness to join any future grant initiatives supported by the French Government that align with efforts to rebuild Ukraine’s air traffic services.

Andrii YARMAK, Director of UkSATSE: “UkSATSE Team would like to express our sincere gratitude to the French delegation for their visit and to reiterate our strong commitment to continued collaboration in restoring safe, efficient, and modern air navigation services in Ukraine”.
