| UkSATSE to receive additional functionality for its Air Traffic Management (ATM) System from Spanish manufacturer for free |
The enhanced functionality of AIRCON 2100 Air Traffic Management (ATM) System software, which operates at Dnipropetrovsk Area Control Centre (ACC), will be available to UkSATSE under the current contract for modernization of AIRCON 2100 ATM system with the manufacturer free of charge.
This agreement was reached during negotiations between Andriy Yarmak, Head of UkSATSE, and Federico Rueda Laorga, Director of International Air Traffic Programmes of Indra Systemas S.A. (Spain) at the head office of UkSATSE today.
Andrii Yarmak, Head of UkSATSE: "We are responsible for air traffic safety, so equipment modernization is extremely important for an air navigation services provider. We do not stop technical development even in a such difficult period for aviation. I am convinced that the pandemic, which led to the crisis of the industry not only in Ukraine but all over the world, will definitely pass, so now we must be ready for the subsequent recovery of air traffic intensity, in particular in the context of upgrading the equipment and technologies".
At the working meeting they also discussed the implementation of projects for installation of two PSR/SSR Mode S radars, modernization of ATM systems for Dnipro, Kharkov and Odesa regional branches including the installation of remote workplaces for air traffic controllers of the Aerodrome Control Tower in Zaporizhzhia Air Traffic Management Unit, implementation of a new ATM system for ACC and Aerodrome Control Tower in Odesa and installation of a radar in Bakhmach. These projects are implemented under four contracts concluded between UkSATSE and Indra Systemas S.A.
