| Implementation of Free Route Airspace "KIDRO H24" |
 Today, on May 23, 2019, at 00:00, the cross-border H24 Free Route Airspace (FRA-H24) was implemented within the following Upper Control Areas: UTA Kyiv and UTA Dnipro (FRA KIDRO-H24) from FL275 to FL660.
FRA implementation is aimed at enabling airspace users to plan their flights along shorter routes, optimizing the economic efficiency of flights and increasing the predictability of air traffic flows.
The implementation of FRA within UTA Odesa-North where FRA is currently used only at night (excluding airspace over High Seas in Simferopol FIR) is the next step.
It should be reminded that since December 6, 2018, FRA-H24 has already been actively used within UTA Lviv from FL275 to FL660.
Ukraine, as a member of EUROCONTROL, has been actively enhancing its Air Navigation System in line with the European Air Traffic Management long-term programmes and operational concepts. |
