Ukraerocenter was created by Provision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No.1281 of 19 July 1999 “On creation of Ukrainian Joint Civil-Military Air Traffic Management System”.
Ukraerocenter is the Regional Branch of Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE).
Ukraerocenter is main operational unit of Joint Civil-Military ATM System of Ukraine.
Decisions made by
Ukraerocenter are compulsory for all categories of airspace users.
During wartime
Ukraerocenter is responsible to General Headquarter of Armed Forces.
Main tasks of Ukraerocenter:
- Planning and regulation of utilisation of Ukrainian airspace and international airspace, the responsibility for which is delegated to Ukraine;
- Airspace management within its competence, definition of airspace use conditions;
- Provision of prescribed order of airspace use and control for its supporting;
- Provision of airspace use, notification ATS units and other establishments involved of search and rescue operations, wrecking as well as natural or man-caused disaster clean-up operations.
