Congratulations to Aviation Training and Certification Center team on its 75th Anniversary!
75 years ago, on the 24th of July 1945 by the order of the Ukrainian Administration of Civil Aviation, an Education and Training Division № 8 was created, which was widely known to aviation professionals up to the end of the 1980s as UTO-8 (УТО-8). These days, Aviation Training and Certification Center (ATCC) is a separate branch of UkSATSE.

The former UTO-8 became a leader of professional training in the field of civil aviation among all training centers of the former USSR. It was regarded as a great chance for the majority of the representatives of other soviet republics to come to the capital of Ukraine to complete the refresher courses. The record number of attendees completed training in Kyiv exceeds 7,000 individuals per year. The total number of students trained there during the whole history of this institution is about 306 thousand persons including 65 thousand, already trained from the commencement of Ukraine’s independence. There was a variety of international students from many countries, including Kazakhstan, Belorussia, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Peru, Columbia, and many others where the aircraft of the Ukrainian production is used.

With the name being changed, the profile never altered, so all these years the training center was teaching different aviation personnel: flight crew, engineering and technical specialists, ground handling staff. The air traffic controllers were also been trained there for a long period. The center’s address 76-A Povitroflotskyi Prospekt remains unchanged for many decades.
Over the years, a small training unit turned into a prestigious civil aviation training center, providing traineeship to pilots, navigators, flight engineers, technicians, inspectors, instructors, and many other aviation professionals.

In 2014, the state company “Main Ukrainian Training and Certification Center of Civil Aviation” served as a basis for its further transformation into a separate branch Aviation Training and Certification Center, becoming the structural part of UkSATSE.

The upbringing, flight and simulator training, certification of the practical professional preparation of aviation personnel in Aviation Training and Certification Center are conducted by highly skilled and experienced experts, qualified flight crew, and technical personnel. The education process is constantly kept up to date along with the application of modern teaching methods and cutting-edge solutions.

UkSATSE’s head Andrii YARMAK expressed his gratitude to Aviation Training and Certification Center staff for its prolonged effective contribution to the professional training of aviation workers, for the recognized professionalism, conscience, and desire to achieve the best results, ensuring the high level of flight safety.

The entire company staff sincere compliments colleagues and wishes them new success, job delightfulness, well-being, and good health.
