| UkSATSE Certificate for Strila-Alenia ATC System extended |
UkSATSE has received a certificate from the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine (SAAU) on the serviceability of Strila-Alenia Air Traffic Control (ATC) System operated at Kyiv Regional Branch (RB). The Certificate will be valid for up to five years starting from June 15, 2020.
This was preceded by a thorough work of the SAAU Certification Commission in cooperation with UkSATSE experts in June.
Let us recall that in 2012, a large-scale modernization of the ATC System operated by air traffic controllers (ATCOs) at UkSATSE Kyiv Area Control Centre and Aerodrome Control Towers at two capital airports took place.
A new modern ATC simulator built into Strila-Alenia ATC System was put into operation at Kyiv RB in 2017. In this way, high quality and efficiency of ATCOs training is ensured, in particular, in the use of the ATC System enhanced functionality.
