The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine does not consider any variants
The rate of charges for air navigation service of aircraft in the Ukrainian airspace approved by Order No. 669 of the Ministry of Transport and Communications dated September 15, 2010 is substantiated and has undergone all necessary approval procedures before going into effect. Air navigation service charges collected from airspace users by the Central Route Charges Office of Eurocontrol (European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation) on behalf of the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise (UkSATSE) are the main source of financing of the proper maintenance and modernization of Ukraine’s air navigation system. Therefore, these charges are a payment for the safety of airspace and preservation of hundreds of thousands of lives of passengers served by domestic and international airlines.

UkSATSE establishes the two-stage selection of candidates for job placement in 2011 – 2012
It is the first time when Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise (UkSATSE) establishes the two - stage assessment in the process of competitive selection of higher educational institution graduates with the Air Traffic Service speciality for job placement. UkSATSE 2011 – 2012 Methodology of candidates rating for the position of an air traffic controller - trainee has been approved for this purpose.

The Grand Opening of a New Aerodrome Tower of UkSATSE Held in Simferopol Today
Today, on November 12, 2010, the grand opening of a new state-of-art airdrome tower was held in Simferopol. It is the first TWR to be built in Ukraine since the country gained independence. With the start of TWR functioning, UkSATSE will be able to provide domestic and international airlines with higher-quality and more efficient airdrome air navigation services based on the use of the most up-to-date equipment.

32 top rated ATC candidates are undergoing job placement procedure, as they have received an employer solicitation certificate to be submitted to the State Aviation Administration for further receipt of the air traffic controller-trainee license.

UkSATSE and National Aviation University started a new stage of cooperation in the sphere of training Air Traffic Controllers
On June 25, 2010, Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise (UkSATSE) and National Aviation University (NAU) concluded an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of ab-initio training of Air Traffic Controllers. The main aim of introducing coordination between one of the key higher educational establishments in Ukraine and the main Air Navigation Service Provider of Ukraine is to enhance popularity of ATC profession, select gifted young people and raise the training to a better quality.

Domestic Air Navigation System must develop in accordance with international standards
During the recent meeting at the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine, Yuriy Cherednichenko, the Director General of the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise (UkSATSE) presented UkSATSE development plan for 2010. Kostiantyn Yefymenko, the Minister of Transport and Communications of Ukraine, highlighted the issue of permanent upgrading of the Ukrainian Air Navigation System (ANS), stressing that Air Traffic Control Towers and engineering equipment should outpace current demands by 5-10 years.

On March 11, 2010, the changes in the airspace structure of the eastern region of Ukraine went into effect; they are aimed at Ukraine’s airspace structure optimization and modernization of UkSATSE Air Traffic Service in the context of realization of governmental decisions.

A consultation meeting with representatives of the International Aviation Transport Association (IATA)
December 20-21, 2009, Kyiv. The State Aviation Administration organized and conducted a consultation meeting with representatives of the International Aviation Transport Association (IATA), European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol), the airlines Lufthansa, Emirates, KLM, Air France, Swiss, British Airways and some others.
