Aviation Security Training starts
The training was carried out for 16 specialists and managerial personnel of the Main Office, namely Air Navigation Services Department, KYIVCENTERAERO Regional Branch and TCC itself.

During the training, the participants learnt the requirements of the national and international legal acts on aviation security, as well as measures aimed at preventing acts of unlawful interference with the UkSATSE personnel activities and facilities functions, as reported Oleksii PESTERNIKOV, Director of TCC.

The above programme is the first of the three aviation security training programmes. The other two approved programmes are "Aviation security initial training of air traffic services personnel" and "Aviation security training of managerial personnel of air traffic management units".

An offsite training has been planned for the personnel of Odesa, and later, Dnipro Regional Branches for July this year.

Upon completion of training, all the participants obtain a standard Certificate.

Such training is provided in accordance with the requirements of the National Civil Aviation Security Programme approved by the Law of Ukraine dated 21.03.2017 No. 1965-VIIІ which entered into force on April 12, 2017. The programme stipulates that aviation personnel and personnel engaged in aviation activities whose work is related to ensuring aviation security may conduct such activities only if they hold relevant aviation security documents issued by the central executive body that implements state policy in the civil aviation domain, or educational institutions certified by such body. This is one of the focus areas in maintaining the appropriate aviation security level set forth in Clause 6 of Section III of this Programme.

As it was reported earlier, in May 2017, TCC obtained the Certificate of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine No. UA/AS-15/2017 "Aviation Security" which authorizes UkSATSE to carry out aviation security professional training.

Reference. "Aviation security" means a combination of measures and human and material resources intended to safeguard international civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference.
