UkSATSE Aviation Training and Certification Centre specialists develop a new programme «Aviation English for Engineers and Technicians»
The new programme will be useful for aviation personnel involved in aircraft maintenance. It aims to familiarize the audience with the terms and concepts related to an aircraft and its maintenance processes, which are necessary for professional activity in English. Completion of the course will help technical staff to work successfully in the international aviation community: communicate with colleagues from different countries to share professional experience, use technical documentation in the original language, be competitive in the global market, as English is the language of international communication in the field of aviation in accordance with ICAO requirements.

The programme is designed for 72 hours of a teacher-led training and provides training for specialists who already have knowledge of air transport maintenance in their native language and are appropriately trained. During the course, participants will learn the relevant terminology base in English: design of an aircraft, a helicopter and their systems and actions aimed at an aircraft maintenance and proper technical support.

The training course candidates shall have general English at least level A2 according to the Council of Europe scale. An entrance test, namely a computer test or an interview with a teacher, is envisaged for the candidates.

At the end of the course, participants take a 40-minute computer test and a 20-minute oral exam.

This programme is based on the principles which are formed by ICAO's language training regulations.
