| Aeromedical Centre of UkSATSE is certified by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine for the second time |
Aeromedical Centre of Medical and Sanitary Unit of KYIVCENTERAERO Regional Branch of UkSATSE was granted a Certificate by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine for the second time. The certificate authorizes Aeromedical Centre to perform medical certification of all aviation personnel of categories 1, 2 and 3.
Therefore, it is confirmed that the Aeromedical Centre of UkSATSE meets the requirements of the national legislation on civil aviation. The relevant conclusion was made due to the results of a thorough scheduled inspection of the centre funclioning and the level of proficiency of its staff, as well as some aspects of activity of Medical and Sanitary Unit, which has an Accreditation Certificate of high grade
issued by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
The results of inspection showed that Aeromedical Centre conducts all diagnostic examinations necessary for the medical certification of aviation personnel. The appropriate equipment has been tested by State Enterprise "Ukrmetrteststandart" and verification of metrological testing of medical equipment is being constantly performed.
It should be noted that five aviation medical examiners work for Aeromedical Centre of UkSATSE. The State Aviation Administration of Ukraine has prolonged authority of each of them to perform medical certification of all aviation personnel. It is confirmed by the relevant Certificates, copies of which are publicly available on the information boards at the Centre premises.
Prior to verification by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine Aeromedical Centre went through scheduled inspection by the State Sanitary-Epidemiological Service of Ukraine with aim of checking the compliance with the sanitary requirements in health care institutions.
It is known that health checkup, and namely ability to work in the specialty for air traffic controllers, pilots, flight attendants, private pilots and other specialists is one of the most important preconditions for flight safety.
One should be reminded that Aeromedical Centre of UkSATSE is one of eight specialized medical institutions, acting in Ukraine, authorized to perform certification of pilots of categories 1, 2 and 3, including the initial one. In 2015 the Centre conducted almost 60% of the total number of certifications held all over Ukraine. |
