Regional Airspace Security Program (RASP) is strengthening NATO-Ukraine special partnership
The 27th highest-level meeting of NATO-member States will be held in Warsaw on July 8-9, 2016. This year Ukraine will be the only partner nation of the Alliance, featuring a special highest level meeting within the framework of NATO-Ukraine Commission.

As the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko noted, this a sign of deliberate attention to our country from the Allies, as well as of full support and intention to intensify special partnership between Ukraine and NATO in future.

Improving and further developing cooperation between Ukraine and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) according to the principles established by the NATO-Ukraine Charter on a Distinctive Partnership (signed on July 9, 1997) is a top national priority of Ukraine in the field of foreign policy.

In the area of ATM safety, Ukraine is involved into NATO Regional Airspace Security Program (RASP), which provides for sharing air picture and cross-border coordination of neighboring countries on security incidents.

"RASP implementation broadens Ukraine’s capabilities to provide air navigation services and air traffic coordination, promotes development of regional cooperation in the sphere of airspace use, enhances efficiency of real-time air picture sharing with neighboring countries that are NATO members", - said UkSATSE Director Dmytro Babeichuk.

In the course of working meetings between UkSATSE management and NATO experts, that took place in 2015, representatives of the Alliance expressed full support of Ukraine in resuming international flights over the Black Sea.
