19th December 2019
Andrii Yarmak, Head of UkSATSE held a meeting with Heidi Ames, representative of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration in Eastern Europe
Within the framework of the meeting the issues of improving air navigation services and ensuring flight safety in airspace under the responsibility of Ukraine and further bilateral cooperation were discussed.

" Considering the effective measures taken by Ukraine on ensuring flight safety and efficiency of air navigation services, close cooperation with FAA is very important for increasing intensity of flights of the world's leading airlines in the airspace under the responsibility of Ukraine", - said Andrii Yarmak.

During her visit, Ms. Ames has attended civil aviation facilities in Ukraine. The main results and development prospects of the leading provider of air navigation services in Ukraine were presented in UkSATSE.
We have made clear proposals and proved the readiness of the Ukrainian air navigation services provider, including its technical capability, to fully provide air traffic services in international airspace over the Black Sea waters.

We shall remind you that in October 2018 the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) revised special federal rules (SFAR113) on the ban on flights in the eastern part of the airspace of Ukraine and over the open sea, where the responsibility for air traffic services is assigned to Ukraine. FAA appreciated effectiveness of the measures taken by UkSATSE to ensure an adequate level of safety in the airspace for which it is responsible. This decision has become one of the important factors in gradually increasing of flight intensity in the Ukrainian sky.
