| New specialised web-site of Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise http://controller.uksatse.ua |
It is the first specialised web-site in the Ukrainian air navigation history which presents such complicated and until now little-known to the general public profession of air traffic controller. This separate module of the official UkSATSE web-site will be of interest to the young people who are choosing their future profession and to those internet-users who are fond of the sky.
The web pages of http://controller.uksatse.ua describe in detail controllers’ special life style taking into account the target audience.
One can find there the details of the profession, the principles of working time organisation, information on potential job places, salary and social security. There are also requirements to the candidates and information on higher education institutions, which prepare specialists in air traffic control.
Until now, such detailed and diverse information about the profession of an air traffic controller was not available for the wide audience at one source. In the present economic situation, such web-site can play a key part in the deliberate choice of the promising profession for young people who care about the future.
When forming staff policy administration of UkSATSE takes into account a number of objective factors and world tendencies. The European countries already experience the lack of air traffic controllers, which cannot but raise concern with air navigation services providers. Taking into account demographic situation in Ukraine, a considerable reduction of entrants to all educational institutions is anticipated in the nearest future. This will result in hard competition among the employers for the educated youth. That is why UkSATSE actively promotes the profession of an air traffic controller. In March 2008, a standing multilevel Marketing Program for the profession “air traffic controller” was launched, aimed to inform school graduates and the graduates of other educational institutions as well as to encourage them to gain the profession of an air traffic controller.
During the elaboration of this program materials and recommended practice of EUROCONTROL (European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation) as well as the results of marketing research, performed by UkSATSE HR department were taken into account.
