UkSATSE Safety Performance and Safety Management System characteristics 2017

Here, Safety Performance is expressed in correspondence of the actual safety level to minimal safety level in ATM system is listed in Table1.

Table 1. Correspondence of the actual safety level to minimal safety level in ATM system in 2017

Direct ATM System Contribution - where at least one ATM event or item was judged to be DIRECTLY in the causal chain of events leading to an accident or incident. Without that ATM event, it is considered that the occurrence would not have happened.

According to the results of the analysis, the above-mentioned safety objectives have been reached during the reported period.

The input data for such analysis were taken from the results of internal audits, external audits, inspection checks, audits by third parties, assessment of changes in ATM system, internal/external investigation of ATM-related safety occurrences , analytical activity, processing of feedback information (reporting systems, etc.).

According to the results of the annual assessment of safety management system (SMS) maturity, UkSATSE was ranked 3rd among 47 ANS providers in the European region in 2017.

Thus, the enterprise has risen in the rating from the last year's 10th place and once again confirmed the leadership positions on a number of key indicators. This assessment was carried out within the framework of the joint project of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol) and the Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (CANSO).

As a result of this year's assessment conducted by the international expert group, it was confirmed that UkSATSE achieved the highest maturity criterion as to the scale of assessment, namely: an indicator that characterizes the company's innovative approaches and practices in the safety management processes that are progressive and higher than the existing international safety management standards. The assessment results are given in Table 2 and in Figure 1.
