Georgian Colleagues Study Ukrainian Experience of Air Traffic Flow Management
On March 10 – 11, 2017, UkSATSE hosted representatives of “Sakaeronavigatsia”, Georgian Air Navigation Service Provider. Colleagues from Georgia came to study the experience of establishing and organizing operation of flow management positions (FMP) that are fully integrated into the activities of EUROCONTROL, the organization which directly carries out the function of air traffic flow management in the European region.

UkSATSE upgrades the Air Navigation System of Ukraine and invites partners to cooperation
UkSATSE is implementing Modernization of the Air Navigation System of Ukraine Project. The financing of the Project is performed by the loan funds provided by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and European Investment Bank (EIB).

UkSATSE Starts Cooperation with a Blue-Chip Austrian Consulting Company APAC
Dmytro BABEICHUK, Director of UkSATSE, and Johann SCHERZER, authorized representative of APAC (Republic of Austria) have signed a Consultancy Contract for provision of services for the Project of UkSATSE Air Navigation System Modernization. This Project is being implemented jointly with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and European Investment Bank (EIB).

Air Navigation Service Providers of Ukraine and Poland enhance safety of European airspace
On February 21, 2017, in Warsaw, leaders of Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) and Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) signed an agreement on sharing radar data.

UkSATSE and "Belavia" have signed a Service Level Agreement
Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) and Belavia – Belarusian Airlines have signed a Service Level Agreement aimed at provision of more efficient conditions for the use by the Carrier of the airspace under the responsibility of Ukraine while ensuring appropriate level of flight safety. This is another step of the air navigation service provider towards the carrier, which complies with the policy of the Enterprise to create maximally favorable conditions to airspace users for the highest efficiency of flights in the sky over Ukraine.

In 2016 UkSATSE provided air navigation services for more than 214 thousand flights
In 2016 the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) provided air navigation services (ANS) for 214,262 flights, which is 8.8% fewer than in 2015. The decrease was the result of reduction of transit traffic caused by the closure of Ukrainian airspace over the Anti-Terrorist Operation Zone and over the temporarily occupied peninsula of Crimea, and due to imposing reciprocal bans on direct flights between Ukraine and Russia.

UkSATSE joined top ten European air navigation services providers according to the assessment of the SMS maturity
In 2016, according to the annual assessment of the SMS (Safety Management System) Maturity UkSATSE ranked 10th place among 47 European Air Navigation Services Providers. Thus the company once again proved its leading position on a number of key indicators. The assessment was performed within the framework of a joint project of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) and the Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (CANSO).

Coordination of the Ukrainian and European air traffic controllers in contingency situations
The situation on the night of 16 December demonstrated the way Ukraine and Europe should cooperate and help each other. Approximately at 2 a.m. Lviv ATC center was informed about electricity shut-off at the similar Warsaw center in Poland. The Ukrainian air traffic controllers in very short time took control over the additional flights, which were forced to change their routing urgently and to leave Polish airspace in contingency situation.
Help in such situations is based on worldwide and European practice. It is another example of readiness of Ukraine for the practical integration in the European airspace.

Today we celebrate professional holiday of the specialists who in one way or another are related to civil aviation. They are the ones who contribute to education of future professionals in aircraft production and development of new technologies, design new air routes and develop international cooperation, engineer rules and regulations for the safety of flights, as well as provide air traffic services.

Air traffic controllers in Lviv RB of UkSATSE switched over to the new automated ATC System
On the 23d of November 2016 at 13:20 Kiev time (10:20 UTC) air traffic controllers of Lviv Area Control Centre completely switched over to the provision of air traffic services using a new automated ATC System "Roksolana".
