UkSATSE strengthens its cybersecurity |
UkSATSE held a Scientific and Practical Conference on Cybersecurity at its head office. This conference brought together the representatives of government agencies, higher education institutions and leading Ukrainian and international IT companies. The participants discussed the issues and current trends of cyber threats protection as well as technical, technological and organizational methods of counteraction to cyber-attacks.
Dmytro Babeichuk, Director of UkSATSE noticed:
– UkSATSE, as a provider of air navigation services, should always take care of the reliable level of protection of critical infrastructure objects, especially nowadays, when cyber-attacks became an element of a hybrid warfare. In this context the regular exchange of the experience is important for all stakeholders - the authorities, including the relevant security services, the aviation community and the IT community. Therefore, such conferences with the involvement of cybersecurity experts from international aviation organizations should be held constantly.
Among the participants of the conference were representatives from the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Information Technologies Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Department of counterintelligence in the area of information security of the Security Service of Ukraine, State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, State Center for Cyber Defense and cyber threats counteracting of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, National Aviation University and National Defense University of Ukraine.
The IT community was represented by experts from BJMD Ventures (the Kingdom of the Netherlands), Check Point (Israel), Leonardo (Italy), ISZ (Czech Republic), Svit IT, SI BIS (Ukraine), DELL EMC, IBM, VMware (USA).
UkSATSE acts in line with the state policy of cyber threats counteracting, and it can be considered significant that on October 5, 2017, on the day when UkSATSE was holding this conference, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during the second reading and in general enacted the law of Ukraine "On the Basic Principles of Cybersecurity Protection of Ukraine". |
