| Partnership between UkSATSE and Slovak Air Navigation Service Provider is essential for the implementation of European air traffic service standards - Andrii YARMAK |
Progress of cooperation between the air navigation service providers of Ukraine and the Slovak Republic was discussed during the working meeting of the Head of UkSATSE Andrii Yarmak with the management of the state enterprise Letové prevádzkové služby Slovenskej republiky (LPS SR) in Bratislava.
- We highly appreciate cooperation with our Slovak colleagues, who, by the way, has recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of the state enterprise. Partnership between UkSATSE and LPS SR is important for the coordinated and efficient implementation of European air traffic services standards. The level of technical facilities of UkSATSE and professional qualification of Ukrainian specialists allow us to be a reliable partner of the European quality, - said the head of UkSATSE Andrii Yarmak.
UkSATSE's specialists have a significant experience of effective cooperation with their colleagues from LPS SR, since the airspace of Ukraine borders with the airspace of Slovakia and the runway of the highlands aerodrome Uzhhorod ends on the Ukrainian-Slovak border, which makes instrument flights and full operation of the international airport impossible without using the part of the Slovak airspace.
Andrii Yarmak congratulated the Slovak colleagues on the occasion of the anniversary of establishment of LPS SR company and expressed his hope for the further development of cooperation for improving safety in the European sky.
As it is known, Ukraine and Slovak Republic initialled the draft Intergovernmental Agreement on determining the conditions of use of the designated part of the airspace of the Slovak Republic in relation to the provision of air traffic services by the designated Ukrainian air navigation services provider at Uzhhorod International Airport as a result of bilateral negotiations in December 2019. Before signature, the agreement must undergo internal approval procedures in accordance with the official routines in effect of the international agreements in each country.
As a reminder, in December 2018 UkSATSE was granted the EASA Certificate of the compliance of the company as a national provider of air navigation services with the European Union standards. |
