UkSATSE experts were briefed on the initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure on the regional airports development
Representatives of ALG and Ernst & Young Ukraine, who have been chosen by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as consultants of the bank, visited UkSATSE as part of the study of regional airports in Ukraine on the implementation of public-private investments, in particular, concessions.

Specialists of UkSATSE presented the key projects of development of communication, navigation and surveillance systems, which are financed by the EBRD, as well as their intentions to introduce modern new technologies, including GNSS Landing System (GLS), WAM/ADS - B, Remote Control Tower, VoIP, etc., which will be installed after the implementation of the European Union regulations in Ukraine.

"We have seen all the capabilities of UkSATSE as well as the awareness of the regional airport development initiative. We are impressed by the comprehensive approach of the specialists of the Air Navigation Service Provider and the strategy of the Enterprise's development in general", said Yevhen Treskunov, an aviation expert.

During the visit, the following airports were discussed, which were covered by the study: International Airport "Zaporizhzhia", International Airport "Lviv" named after Danylo Halitskii, International Airport "Kherson" and International Airport "Chernivtsi" named after Leonid Kadeniuk. It is expected that a preliminary feasibility study for a potential concession of the selected airports will be developed.

"We are determined to do the best we can to ensure that the regional airports develop. We also support this initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure, which involves specialists from such reputable financial institutions as the EBRD and IFC," said the head of UkSATSE Andrii Yarmak.
