| Eurocontrol starts UkSATSE audit |
 Director of Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) Mr. Dmytro Babeichuk and Director General of the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) Mr. Eamonn Brennan have signed an agreement on the provision of support by EUROCONTROL on conducting an external assessment of the effectiveness of the UkSATSE management system. The agreement was signed on October 10, 2018 at the ICAO headquarters in Montreal in the framework of the 13th ICAO Air Navigation Conference in the presence of Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Mr. Andriy Shevchenko, Director-General for Mobility and Transport Mr. Henrik Hololei and Director for Aviation of the European Commission Mr Filip Cornelis. UkSATSE assessment shall start immediately upon the signing of the document.
“UkSATSE is always ready for innovations and it is open to any assessment, Ukrainian and international, which the Enterprise gets through on a regular basis. We will interact with Eurocontrol first time in the format of such audit. I am convinced that this will enable us to improve the efficiency of the UkSATSE management system from the perspective of the European Union and Eurocontrol requirements applied to air navigation service providers. This is an important stage in the history of the Enterprise, because objectivity of the assessment results of the influential international organization in the field of air navigation is beyond doubt,”- said Dmytro Babeichuk.
Consequently Eurocontrol assessment will determine the level of effectiveness of the UkSATSE management related to maturity of the safety management system, cost effectiveness, capacity, flight efficiency and technical compliance with the regulations of the Single European Sky.
It should be reminded that in early September 2018, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Mr Volodymyr Omelyan, at the initiative of the Director of UkSATSE Mr Dmytro Babeichuk, officially addressed to Eurocontrol with a proposal to perform an independent assessment of the UkSATSE quality control.
Ukraine has become a member of Eurocontrol since May 2004 and has taken a rightful place in the aviation community of European states.
