| UkSATSE completed its flight calibration programme at Boryspil Airport for 2020 |
UkSATSE specialists performed a flight check of ground radio and lighting equipment for Boryspil International Airport.
During the second phase of the flight calibration under the contract between UkSATSE and the airport, the crew of the aircraft laboratory Beechcraft B300 (Super King Air 350) with registration number UR-CWB performed a flight check of the ILS-410 instrumental approach system, lighting equipment on both courses and a VOR/DME navigation radio beacon. In this way, UkSATSE has fully complied with the terms and conditions of the contract for 2020, which provides for the total flight calibration of fifteen means and systems. The first stage of the flight calibration was completed in May this year.
Let us remind you that flight checks of ground facilities are mandatory for certification of new and control of the technical condition of installed equipment that ensures the functioning of any airport and the safety of take-offs and landings at the airport.
