 Andrii Yarmak: "The southern airspace of Ukraine is strategically important for the development of the country's transit potential. Considering this, we are working hard to resume flights in the Simferopol flight information region, in particular to improve the air navigation infrastructure. This applies to the modernization of locators, voice communication system, and navigation equipment.
Right at the airport Kherson a new navigation equipment DVOR/DME will be installed, which will also operate on the route, and provide aircraft landing assistance at the airport.”
The forum was attended by Eduard Naumenko, Deputy Head of Kherson Regional State Administration, Serhiy Shkarlet, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Vitaliy Kucheruk, Director of Kherson Regional Council Communal Enterprise "Kherson Airlines", Maxim Lutskiy, Rector of National Aviation University, Serhiy Fomenko, Deputy President of "UIA" and representatives of other aviation industry companies.
Issues discussed include the transit potential perspectives of the country's southern airspace, the development of International Airport Kherson, necessary state mechanisms for enhancing of domestic aviation routes, as well as aviation personnel training. |
