| Establishment of State Department of Aviation Transport of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine |
State Department of Aviation Transport of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine was established by the Provision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No.708 of 23.05.2006. This provision came into effect on 9 June 2006 after the Decree of the President “On amendments to some Decrees of the President relating aviation safety and considering them null and void”.
State Department of Aviation Transport (Ukraviatrans) is the Governmental Regulation Body and being subordinated to the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine acts within it.
Main tasks of Ukraviatrans are the following:
- Participation in the process of realisation of state policy on civil aviation development;
- Organisation of air transportation;
- Implementation of main lines of economic, tariff, financial, personnel, investment, social, scientific and technological policy as well as delivery of measures on environmental safety in the civil aviation industry;
- Airspace use and Air Traffic Service regulation;
- Delivery of measures on protection of civil aviation from unlawful interferenceства;
- Promotion of interests of national carriers, national air transportation market and its accessibility for operators of all patterns of ownership;
- Participation in preparation of drafts of national, state and industrial-oriented Programmes on civil aviation development and their implementation.
Director of Ukraviatrans is to be assigned by the Cabinet of Ministers on presentation of Minister of Transport and Communications of Ukraine. |
