Certification of UkSATSE’s services on their compliance with EU norms will strengthen the role of Ukrainian ANS Provider in the European sky – Dmytro BABEICHUK |
On July 10, 2018 in Strasbourg (France) during the 36th Plenary Session of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), UkSATSE and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) signed a contract on conducting a certification of UkSATSE as a national air navigation service provider on its compliance with the European Union regulatory requirements.
“We are initiating a process of certification of UkSATSE’s services on their compliance with European Union standards. It will be yet another proof of recognition by the European Community of the role of the Enterprise. EASA will certify the right of UkSATSE to be a provider of air navigation services in the part of the airspace of Slovakia, which is used during take-offs and landings of aircraft at Uzhgorod airfield. This step will be an additional incentive for the development of transport infrastructure in the region”, - said Dmytro Babeichuk.
Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan, who was present at the signing of the contract, thanked Dmytro Babeichuk and his team and specialists of EASA for effective cooperation, which contributes to the development of Ukrainian aviation in accordance with European norms and standards.
“Restoration of the full-fledged work of "Uzhgorod" airport is a priority for the Ministry. President of Ukraine set the task to launch an air traffic service with Transcarpathia by the end of 2018. UkSATSE and EASA have signed a contract which will facilitate the fulfilment of conditions and international requirements for flights to "Uzhgorod” airport, - said Volodymyr OMELYAN.
